WARNINGS:
Still initially local gusts of SE wind of about 35 knots in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, then of NE wind increasing to 35-75, at the foot of Velebit up to 90 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic gusts of SE wind 35-40 knots whereas late in the afternoon and at night of NE and NW 35-60 knots. The sea intensifying to 5, first in northern part. Isolated thunderstorms are expected first in the North Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS:
A deep trough with a cold front is approaching from the northwest and a low is expected to form in the Gulf of Genoa as well as its shifting across the Adriatic towards the southeast.

FIRST 12 HOURS:
SE wind 10-20, locally up to 24 knots, already in the morning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic abruptly turning to NE wind and increasing to 18-32, locally up to 36, at the foot of Velebit up to 46 knots and in the afternoon and in the evening spreading southwards. The sea intensifying to 3-4, from the middle of the day 4-5, first in northern part. Visibility 10-20 km. Gradual more intense cloud increase with rain and local rain showers with thunder, first in the north and not before evening in southern part whereas there is a risk of light snow along the coast.

NEXT 12 HOURS:
Strong and near gale NE and NW winds, locally of gale force will be slightly decreasing in the second part of the night whereas still initially strong SE wind in the South Adriatic. The sea slight and moderate, locally rough. Cloudy with scattered rain and rain showers with thunder, along the coast with light snow whereas from the middle of the night partial clearing up, first in the North Adriatic. A significant drop in air temperatures.
