WARNINGS:
Local gusts of SE and S winds 35-45, in the afternoon up to 50 knots in the open sea whereas towards late in the day and at night in the North, from the middle of the night also in a part of the Central Adriatic gusts of NE wind up to 60, in the Velebit Channel reaching up to 75 knots. From the midday the sea locally 5, mainly towards the open. Towards late in the day isolated thunderstorms in the North, then also in a larger part of the Central Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS:
A trough with a frontal system is approaching from the northwest and the Genoa low is expected to be formed and to be shifting across the Adriatic at night.

FIRST 12 HOURS:
SE and S winds increasing to 18-28, from the midday locally up to 34 knots, first in the far south of the Adriatic. The sea 3-4, in the afternoon intensifying to 4-5, mainly towards the open. Visibility 10-20 km but in places reduced to about 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, particularly in the broad area of Rijeka whereas towards late in the day in the North Adriatic more intense cloud increase with rain showers and thunder.

NEXT 12 HOURS:
Mostly cloudy with scattered rain and in the North, then also in a large part of the Central Adriatic with rain showers and thunder but from the middle of the night in the North Adriatic there is a risk of NE wind driven snow, mainly at the foot of Velebit. Strong and near gale SE wind, also of gale force in the far south whereas in the North, from the middle of the night also in a part of the Central Adriatic will be turning to strong and near gale NE wind, also of gale force at the foot of Velebit. The sea moderate and rough.
